This year's renewed program is based on a new logic of strengthening all events, both in Nafplio and in the region of the Municipality, placing particular emphasis on its beginning, as well as on the last two three-day period, with impressive events, which are expected to attract the interest of locals and visitors.
The events for the Fairytale Venetian Carnival in Nafplio start on Sunday, February 9, 2025 and will culminate on the first weekend of March and Clean Monday, with the Venetian events, the big Carnival parade, the koulouma and the kite competition.
In the Municipality of Nafplio, the city of Nafplio is a natural setting to wander around, get close to other people, have fun in every alley, become a member of the Domino team, play with them and take part in the carnival parade. However, if you want to experience it more traditionally, but carnival-like, you will not only walk in Nafplio, but also in Tolo, where you will see a parade of carnival floats on the last Sunday and you will party to your heart's content.
On Clean Monday, however, you can also travel to one of the villages Assin, Drepano, Vivari, Iria for traditional koulouma, kite flying and partying. Agia Triada, Midea, theTiryns, Agios Adrianos, and even Arachneio will ensure you the entire period of Carnivalthe traditional fun you're looking for, through the revival of local customs and flavors. Sunday, February 9, 2025 - Start
On Sunday, February 9, 2025, with the opening of the Triodium, the carnival events in the Municipality of Nafplio begin.
11:00 - Carnival parade, "Pergola"
In the morning, young carnivalists accompanied by the percussion group of the Municipal Philharmonic will herald the opening of the Triodium in Nafplio, starting from the "Pergola". Then, heading to the City Hall, they will deliver the banner of the Anaplio Carnival to the Mayor, Mr. Dimitrios Orfanos, which will be placed in the Three Admirals Square.
11:30  - Party, Syntagma Square
The parade will end at the central square.Syntagma Square, where the dance groups of Paso Latino and the Tatsis dance school invite and excite the world, to dance with them in Latin, Cha-Cha and other rhythms.
